This homemade dessert recipe, made with reduced milk, saffron, cardamom, and nuts, is sure to please your palate. Here’s how to make it yourself.

Kulfis are a type of traditional Indian dessert. This is also very popular in neighbouring countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. Furthermore, kulfi’s have a texture and appearance similar to ice cream. These, on the other hand, are richer and creamier. Kulfi also comes in a variety of flavours, including malai, rose, mango, and strawberry. But today, I’d like to share a recipe for kesar pista kulfi.

My love for kulfi most likely began during my school days. I used to get a matka kulfi near my school and top it with pistachios. It used to taste incredible and out-of-this-world. But, sadly, we had to relocate to Udupi, and I never got the same taste again. Perhaps it was while searching for the same flavour that I discovered this amazing kulfi recipe. and today I’m going to share it with you all.

My love for Kulfi is unending, and I have always preferred homemade Kulfis to store-bought ones. As a result, for a special occasion, I made traditional homemade Kesar Pista Kulfi at home.

This Kulfi, made with milk and flavoured with Saffron and Dry Fruits, will satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you wanting more.

This Kulfi is very popular in North Indian states, and during the hot summer days, you can often find many street carts selling this delicious Indian Ice Cream. A bite of this delectableness will provide instant relief from the scorching heat.

While some Kulfi Shops and Restaurants serve it plain, others top it with a handful of falooda and a drizzle of rose syrup.

This Kesar Pista Kulfi is a summertime staple in my house, and we frequently indulge in it after our weekend meals.

Furthermore, before diving into the actual recipe, I wanted to touch base with the history of kulfi. Basically, kulfi is a Persian word, and this recipe dates back to the Mughal dynasty. Sweet thick evaporated milk was well-known among Hindus even before the establishment of the Mughul dynasty. The same mixture was topped with pistachios, kesar, by the mughal community. and gave a cone shape to deep freeze in slurry ice

What is the composition of kesar Pista?

Made with kesar, milk, condensed milk, pistachios, and whipped cream, this ice cream mixture comes together quickly, freezes, and your ice cream is ready.

What is the traditional method of making kulfi?

To make this delectable dessert, sweetened or flavoured milk is slowly cooked with constant stirring so that the milk does not stick. It is cooked until it thickens and reduces in volume by half. This caramelises the lactose and sugar, imparting a distinct flavour to the kulfi.
