- 1/4 tsp turmeric / haldi
- 1/2 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder / lal mirch powder

- 2 tbsp oil
- water to knead dough

- Press and stretch it thin with your palms facing forward.
- Scrape away with a knife, being careful not to damage the fafda.
- Deep fry in hot oil now. Overcrowding the fafdas will cause them to overcook.
- Keep the flame on medium and stir occasionally.
- Fry the fafdas for a minute or two, or until golden and crispy.
- Finally, gujarati fafda should be served with green chutney or kadi.
- First, knead the besan dough until it is smooth and soft.
