I used the Kent atta and bread maker, which comes with a predefined option, in this recipe in particular. I used it because it was a sponsored post, but to be honest, you can use the same recipe in any bread maker. Alternatively, you may need to consult the manual and make the necessary minor adjustments.
Additionally, some additional tips, suggestions, and variations for a perfect and soft raisin bread recipe First and foremost, as previously stated, you can make the same bread with other dry fruits or tropical fruits that you have on hand. I like the recipe with figs, tutti frutti, plums, pineapple, and even pistachios. Second, the same recipe can be made in a conventional oven. To bake it, you’d need a bread or loaf pan. Finally, because I didn’t use any preservatives in this recipe and tried to make it as healthy as possible, the shelf life is only about 2-3 days. To have a longer shelf life, keep it in a warm and dry place.

- 260 ml milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp sugar (15 grams)
- 2½ tbsp oil (30 grams)
- 400 grams maida / plain flour
- 1 tbsp milk powder (7 grams)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1½ tsp dry yeast (5 grams)
- 1/2 cup raisins / kishmish (95 grams)
- To begin, combine 260 mL milk, 1 tsp salt, 3 tbsp sugar, and2½ tbsp oil in a Kent atta maker & bread maker pan.
- Add 400 g maida, 1 tbsp milk powder, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, and1½tsp dry yeast. Always start with the liquid and work your way down to the dry ingredients.
- To set the basic bread, press the menu button.
- Set the weight to 750 grammes and the colour to medium crust.
- To begin making bread, press the start button.
- Once the dough is combined, add 1/2 cup raisins and knead for another minute. (It takes 3 hours for the bread to automatically knead, ferment, and bake)
- Remove the bread pan once the process is finished.
- Remove the bread from the pan slowly and allow to cool for 20 minutes before slicing.
- Finally, toast the raisin bread with butter and serve.
- To begin, for a healthier alternative, replace maida with wheat flour.
- Adding milk and milk powder also adds a rich flavour to the bread.
